Email in. Quote out. Here's what happens between.
Simple Freight is an AI middleware layer. It sits between your customers' inbox and your TMS, reading what comes in, gathering what's missing, and pushing structured payloads to whichever quoting API you already run.
Five steps from inbox to TMS
The email arrives.
A shipper emails sales@yourbrokerage.com asking for a rate. Simple Freight reads it the moment it lands.
We identify the customer.
The agent matches the sender's domain and email signature against your CRM or TMS, picking the right Client ID, the right contracted rates, the right branch. No human picks "company" from a dropdown.
We extract the freight details.
Pickup, delivery, dimensions, weight, freight class, pallet count, hazmat flags, timing windows, accessorials. Even when the email reads "2 plts @ 500lbs each, residential drop, need it Friday."
If anything's missing, we ask.
The agent writes a short, professional reply asking only for the specific fields that are missing. The conversation continues until we have everything needed to quote, or the customer disengages.
We quote, send, and log.
Once the data is complete, Simple Freight POSTs the request to your TMS, applies your margin and surcharge rules, formats the rate as a clean reply, and sends it back to the customer. Every step is logged on your dashboard.
Wired into the tools you already run.
We've built native integrations for the platforms most brokers, 3PLs, and forwarders use:
- Oracle OTM
- Blue Yonder
- MercuryGate
- McLeod
- Motive
- Samsara
- FreightPOP
- Magaya
- Salesforce
- HubSpot
Custom in-house APIs: if it accepts JSON, we can hit it. CRM-side, we map customer identities through Salesforce, HubSpot, or your existing client database.
What Simple Freight isn't.
We're middleware, not a replacement for your TMS. We don't:
- Hold your rate cards. Those stay in your TMS where they belong.
- Touch carrier invoices, billing, or accounts payable.
- Train models on your customer data. All LLM calls go through zero-retention enterprise APIs.
- Bind your brokerage to a contract you can't exit. Month-to-month, no lock-in.
Built for the security review.
- DMARC, DKIM, and SPF authentication on every inbound email. Spoofed senders get quarantined before our agent ever processes them.
- Zero-retention LLM calls. Customer email content is ephemeral and never trains shared models.
- Hard-coded margin floors and quote ceilings. No autonomous quote goes out below your defined boundaries.
